Natural Gas Risers: What you need to know

Many consumers recently may have heard about problems surrounding certain natural gas risers and the potential for leaks to occur. A natural gas riser is the vertical portion of the service line that connects the primary distribution pipeline to the customer’s meter. The Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC) is actively participating in this issue to advocate on behalf of Ohio’s residential utility consumers. Below is more information about the natural gas riser issues.
