The Ohio Consumers' Counsel (OCC) provides knowledgeable outreach and education professionals to talk about issues concerning the electric, natural gas, telecommunications and water industries. Speakers are available free of charge and are prepared to cover a variety of topics including customer choice, consumer protections, energy efficiency, services offered by the OCC and how to better understand your telephone bill among others. The OCC presents to groups of at least 30 or more. Community groups and organizations can also arrange for an outreach and education specialist to sit down for scheduled one-on-one sessions with consumers to answer specific utility questions. In addition organizations and companies can schedule Brown Bag sessions to provide an education opportunity for their employees during the lunch hour.

For colleges the OCC offers a fun and interactive program called Utility Survivor. The Utility Survivor game helps teach students how to sign up for utility services for the first time. For more information on any of the events or information offered by the OCC, click on the left.
